That looks reallly sweet! Modelling and texturing are very realistic. Specular I'm curious to see how it works once you have highlights :P Really like the blood but doesnt seem to fit with the rotation of the blades, it would be more of a splatter effects I would imagine and the blood on the handle more smeared.
Would add the background is pretty dark so its hard to read the silhouette of the object. Blood looks a bit saturated to me too. Would you mind posting another one with a good lighting rig so we can see better? Unless its my screen that is too dark?

Yeah, those two look identical atleast when it comes to modelling.
